Miss Holmes Returns

February 21 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

South Texas College Theatre and Dance presents Miss Homes Returns by Christopher M. Walsh, based on characters by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The production will run on February 20-22 at 7:30 p.m. The Thursday, February 20, evening performance will include an American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation. There will also be a matinee at 2 p.m. on February 23.
Performances will take place at STC’s Cooper Center for the Performing Arts Black Box Studio at 3200 W. Pecan Blvd. in McAllen.
A nurse and activist finds herself on the run, wanted for murder. Pursued by authorities who choose to ignore a clear case of self-defense due to her Indian heritage and influence from sinister figures from the shadowy criminal underworld, she turns to Miss Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Dorothy Watson for help.
Miss Holmes Returns is theatrical “fan fiction” that explores specific themes using the characters, settings and tropes created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to explore the added challenges and risks faced by these iconic characters if they were women.
General admission tickets cost $5. Tickets can be purchased online at www.southtexascollege.edu/go/theatre or at the door, which is cash only, the day of each performance.
