Give a Bark 5th Annual 5k

Give a Bark 5K and 1-Mile Doggie Dash returns for its 5th annual run on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Fireman’s Park in McAllen. Start your New Year’s resolutions early with a fast, friendly course that welcomes runners, walkers, families, strollers, and well behaved leashed dogs. The morning benefits Palm Valley Animal Society and helps kick off a year of lifesaving for local pets. Professional timing and race operations are provided by Endurance Splits.

Registration
Sign up at givebutter.com/giveabark26. The first 5K of the year fills quickly. Register by November 30, 2025 to guarantee an event shirt. After that date, shirts will be available for purchase on race day while supplies last.
Packet pickup
Pick up race packets at the Laurie P. Andrews Center, home of Palm Valley Animal Society. Specific pickup dates and times will be announced soon on the registration page and PVAS channels.
Good to know
Leashed dogs are welcome in both distances. Please bring waste bags and water for your pup. Strollers are allowed. Water stations and finish line refreshments provided. Parking is available near Fireman’s Park. No refunds. Event will take place rain or shine.
