She is the founder and co-director of Re:wild Your Campus\, an organization that works with colleges across the country to eliminate synthetic pesticides on campus grounds and support groundskeepers in the transition to organic\, biodiverse land management. Mackenzie is currently a 2024-2025 Obama Foundation USA Leader and is co-author\, with her mother Kathy\, of the book Ground bakers: 60+ Plant-Based Comfort Food Recipes and 16 Leaders Changing the Food System.
