Every audience member will feel as if they’re part of the action in this contemporary version of the great American circus tradition. At Flip Circus\, families will enjoy two hours of awe-inspiring\, death-defying\, hilarious and affordable fun.\nThe performers are the heart of the circus and Flip Circus features some of the finest from around the world. Illusionist Jimmy Saylon of Italy will astound with his mind-bending magic\, while Ukraine’s Misha will get audiences laughing with his madcap brand of outrageous comedy. America’s own\, Dede Larible\, is an eight-generation circus superstar who has dazzled audiences around the world with his incredible juggling prowess. Spain’s Alexander Lichner is a two-time Guinness World Record holder who has won numerous international awards for his incomparable skills defying gravity on the single trapeze. The Kung Fu Boys\, direct from China\, combine martial arts mastery and acrobatic artistry that must be seen to be believed. An international collaboration of artists from Mexico (Jan\, Carolina)\, the U.S. (Mia)\, and Ukraine (Margarita) presents a brand new mini trapeze act that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats with their heart-pounding and breathtaking performance. The soundtrack to all this fun is the live Flip Circus Band which weaves together a magnificent musical tapestry accompanying each act. El espectáculo contará con el acompañamiento musical de Conjunto Jaguar\, así como la participación de destacados invitados especiales\, entre ellos Contrapunto Compañía Musical de Folklor (Coahuila\, México)\, Juglares del Son (San Luis Potosí\, México)\, El Mariachi Continental de Héctor Guerra (McAllen\, Texas) y la Orquesta Emperadores del Valle (McAllen\, Texas).\nEste evento forma parte del compromiso del South Texas College y su Center for Mexican American Studies de promover la educación cultural y fortalecer el vínculo entre la comunidad y las tradiciones mexicanas a través de las artes escénicas.\nAcompáñanos en Tradiciones 2026 y vive una experiencia artística que celebra la herencia cultural mexicana a través de la danza\, la música y la tradición.\n \nExperience Tradiciones 2026 with Ballet Folklórico South Texas College on Feb. 27 at MPAC. A vibrant celebration of Mexican music and dance.\n \nThe Ballet Folklórico South Texas College proudly presents Tradiciones 2026\, a vibrant celebration of Mexican folkloric dance and music that honors cultural heritage\, identity\, and artistic legacy.\nThe performance will take place on Friday\, February 27\, 2026 at 7:30 PM at the McAllen Performing Arts Center\, inviting audiences to experience an evening rich in tradition\, color\, and cultural expression.\nTradiciones 2026 features dynamic choreography representing various regions of Mexico\, brought to life through live musical accompaniment that enhances the authenticity and energy of each performance.
