The evening begins with cocktails at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner at 7:30 PM, an auction at 8:30 PM and dancing beginning at 9:00 PM. Guests are encouraged to dress in Classy Sunset Attire for the En Carnaval celebration.
The Access to Hope Gala: En Carnaval invites the Rio Grande Valley community to an elegant evening of celebration, entertainment and purpose on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the McAllen Convention Center in McAllen, Texas.
Presented by the Access Esperanza Clinics Board of Directors, this special fundraising gala brings together supporters for a memorable evening while helping expand access to essential cancer screenings and care in the community.
This year’s En Carnaval theme will transform the evening into a colorful and sophisticated celebration inspired by the energy and elegance of Carnaval. Guests are encouraged to embrace the occasion in Classy Sunset Attire, complementing an evening designed around vibrant style, community and philanthropy.
The festivities begin at 6:00 PM with cocktails, providing guests an opportunity to mingle and enjoy the atmosphere before the evening’s dinner. Dinner begins at 7:30 PM, followed by the event’s auction at 8:30 PM. At 9:00 PM, guests can take to the dance floor and continue the celebration.
Beyond the festivities, the Access to Hope Gala supports an important mission in the Rio Grande Valley.
Proceeds from this year’s gala will support Access Esperanza Clinics’ breast and cervical cancer initiative, helping enhance access to essential cancer screenings and care. Access Esperanza Clinics serves more than 14,000 patients each year, making the gala an opportunity for attendees to enjoy an extraordinary evening while contributing to healthcare access within the community.
The McAllen Convention Center provides the setting for this year’s celebration. Located in the heart of McAllen’s Convention Center District, the venue will welcome gala guests for an evening that combines dining, entertainment, fundraising and community engagement under one roof.

Access Esperanza Clinics has commitment to providing high-quality, affordable healthcare services in Hidalgo County, since 1964.
Access to Hope Gala is a celebration of the preventive healthcare services we offer to individuals of low-income communities.
Access Esperanza Clinics is a non-profit 501(c)(3) family planning agency. We were founded in 1964 by the Reverend Bruce Galloway and members of the First United Methodist Church in Mission, Texas. Their goal was to help people break the cycle of poverty and improve quality of life in our community. Today, we continue that legacy with our four health centers located in McAllen, Mission, Edinburg and Weslaco. In 2025, we provided family planning care to over 14,000 patients.
Access Esperanza Clinics provides high quality and affordable preventative healthcare services. Proceeds from Access to Hope Gala will help individuals in need with wellness exams, screenings for breast and cervical cancers, STI testing/treatment, and family planning care.
