SUMMARY:Inaugural RGV Health Symposium
DESCRIPTION:MHP Salud\, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families to live healthy lives\, will host its inaugural RGV Health Symposium on National Insurance Awareness Day to provide free health insurance education\, free health insurance application assistance\, and opportunities to connect with dozens of local programs committed to serving local individuals\, children and families.\nFollowing the theme “Together\, we’ve got RGV covered\,” the symposium features a panel of experts to demystify complexities around health insurance\, to address common questions related to health care and health insurance\, to dive into the relationship between health insurance and other health care concerns\, and to provide easy-to-understand overviews on health coverage. The event also offers lively roundtable discussions to address local access-to-care challenges\, interactive health and wellness loteria\, and onsite connections with local services and resources.\nMHP Salud invites community members\, health care advocates and ambassadors\, and social service professionals to attend this free event. Registration is encouraged at mhpsalud.co/rgvtogether2024 but walk-ins are welcome.
